Possessing over 15 years of professional experience, Mr. John Reynders currently serves as the Chief Information Officer of the Pharmaceutical Research and Development division of Johnson & Johnson. In this capacity, John Reynders oversees the management of global IT/informatics capabilities in support of discovery, translational, clinical, and regulatory functions. A seasoned leader, John Reynders manages one of the largest and most complex Information Technology organizations across the Johnson & Johnson family of companies, ensuring that Pharmaceutical R&D runs smoothly and efficiently. Prior to joining Johnson & Johnson, John Reynders held a role as Information Officer for Lilly Research Laboratories at Eli Lilly and Company. In this role, John Reynders successfully led a 200-person staff in running the IT and Informatics systems across research sites in North America, Europe, and Asia. Through his efforts and influence, John Reynders improved many facets of the organization, including business alignment, project management discipline, rate of execution, and overall efficiency. John Reynders has also held positions of increasing responsibilities at Los Alamos National Laboratory, Sun Microsystems, and Celera Genomics. Recognized among his colleagues and peers for his professional talents, John Reynders has achieved a number of honors including an Office of Naval Research fellowship, a Los Alamos Distinguished Performance Award, and the Ray Grimm Memorial Prize for Computational Physics. An accomplished public speaker, John Reynders has been invited to deliver keynotes and invited presentations in numerous conferences and workshops around the globe. John Reynders began his formal education at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, from which he graduated summa cum laude with his BS in Mathematics. John then went on to obtain a PhD in Applied and Computational Mathematics from Princeton University and recently completed an MBA at the Northwestern University Kellogg School of Business. Outside of his professional obligations, John Reynders spends time with his family and pursues several charitable endeavors. An active member of his church, John Reynders also contributes to organizations such as the National Down Syndrome Society and the Special Olympics. Newton, Massachusetts resident John Reynders can be found keeping his Tae Kwon Do Black Belt in fighting form during his spare time.
